Claude Code

Claude Code connects through mcp-remote and authenticates with your API key in the X-API-Key header. Node.js is required. Run the following in your terminal, replacing YOUR-API-KEY with your Pipecorn API key:

claude mcp add pipecorn -e API_KEY=YOUR-API-KEY -- npx mcp-remote https://mcp.pipecorn.com/mcp --header "X-API-Key:\${API_KEY}"

The -e flag stores the key as an environment variable for the server process, so it never appears in the command that Claude Code records. Check the connection with /mcp inside Claude Code, which lists Pipecorn’s tools. To make the server available in every project, add --scope user. To use a workspace API key instead, send it in the X-Workspace-Key header:

claude mcp add pipecorn -e API_KEY=YOUR-WORKSPACE-KEY -- npx mcp-remote https://mcp.pipecorn.com/mcp --header "X-Workspace-Key:\${API_KEY}"

Never send the key in an Authorization header: the server only accepts an OAuth access token there.
